Turtle Hills Farm is a labor of love. A lot of time and energy goes into planning and preparing to grow our blooms and then be able to share them with you. In order to let you cut your own flowers we have to go over a few details….
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUR HOURS! See calendar, Facebook or Instagram @turtlehillsfarm
Park in our designated parking lot. If this is full park on the right side of the gravel driveway facing north (Spring Cave Road). You may turn around in our circle driveway.
Go to the Garden shed. Someone will greet you, pay, and pickup your bucket.
For your convenience we offer two bucket sizes and you pick "as many flowers as you can fit in the buckets". You cannot keep the buckets - they are not for sale.
Flowers are picked early morning or late evening. Please check the calendar to make sure we are open before arriving. We live here and ask you to respect these hours.
PRIVATE APPOINTMENTS are welcome for groups or yourself. Please email us at email@example.com to set a date and time.
DRESS ACCORDINGLY. It can be a muddy wet mess and the grass paths are not even or level, also don’t forget about bugs, bottled water, and sunscreen. Our flowers are in an open field with no shade. There may be spiders, mosquitoes, bees and other friends you might not expect we advise bringing bug spray and a hat.
Pushing a stroller is not advisable.
Children have to remain on the pathways at all times. In addition, please ensure that your kids are respectful of our property and plants as we work very hard at what we do.
Please do not allow children to operate pruners. They are sharp!
BRING YOUR CLIPPERS if you don't have clippers we can provide you with some.
A BUCKET WILL BE PROVIDED FOR YOU with water and a small amount of hydration fluid. We ask that you only use our buckets.
We will give you flower cutting directions.
After you have your cut flowers, you will return the buckets and our clippers, we will prepare and wrap your flowers in paper for you to take home If you brought your own vase or would like to buy a vase feel free to sit down and arrange your flowers at our picnic tables. The tables are there for you to rest, relax and create. Take your time and have fun!
We have jealous farm dogs that protect our property, please do not bring your pets. As a reminder we have worked incredibly hard to share our farm with you. Please be respectful.
Keep in mind flowers are pollinators and attract BEES and other things. Bees are not interested in stinging people while they are foraging. However, if you have a severe bee allergy you may want to be cautious.
We look forward to seeing you. SHARE THE LOVE! Please post your photos #turtlehillsfarm
